Long Island Travel Medicine is a service of Long Island Infectious
Disease Associates, PC. Dr. Anne Sacks-Berg leads a team of professional
staff with expertise in prevention and treatment of travel related
illnesses
Anne Sacks-Berg, MD
Anne
Sacks-Berg, MD graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine
and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease
fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital. Dr Sacks-Berg established
a private practice specializing in Infectious Diseases in Huntington
in 1991. She is active on many Huntington Hospital Committees:
she is Chair of the Infection Control Committee, is past President
of the Medical Staff, and most recently served as acting Chief
of Medicine. Dr. Sacks-Berg also enjoys traveling and believes
that travel should be safe as well as enjoyable. Areas of interest
include travel medicine, infection control and epidemiology.
Dr Sacks-Berg is board certified in Internal
Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Dr. Cynthia Hoey
Dr.
Cynthia Hoey is a graduate of New York College of Osteopathic
Medical College and is board certified in Internal Medicine and
Infectious Disease. Prior to graduating medical school in 1998
she worked extensively as a Clinical Medical Technologist with
the North Shore Health- Long Island Jewish Health System. Her
post graduate residency and fellowship training was at North Shore
University Hospital in Manhasset after completing a traditional
rotating internship at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center
in West Islip.
As an attending physician at Huntington Hospital,
Dr. Hoey serves on many committees including the Infection Control
Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Performance Improvement
Coordinating Committee and the Surgical Care Improvement Project
Team. Her special interests include skin and soft tissue infections,
preventative medicine and travel medicine.

Dr.
Adrian Popp
Dr.
Adrian Popp is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy,
Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He completed
his Internal Medicine residency at NYU Downtown Hospital and
Infectious Disease fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer
Center.
As a volunteer
physician, he helped establish a medical case system for for
underserved HIV infected children through the Romanian Children
with AIDS Foundation.
He is currently
active on many committees at Huntington Hospital and his areas
of special interest include infections in cancer patients and
HIV care.
